As part of an effort to help corporations/businesses understand and include diversity in how they conduct their daily operation, The Discovery Center has formed a corporate council comprised of representatives from corporations, small businesses and family owned companies. The focus of the corporate council will be to educate the corporate/business community on recent demographic trends and best business practices for diverse organizations. Corporations and businesses will also have an opportunity to learn about and support students in The Discovery Center program through the Student Sponsorship program.
Starting in the spring of 2010, The Discovery Center will sponsor seminars/meetings for corporation/businesses with a focus on latest demographic trends and The Discovery Center program to prepare students for a diverse world and global economy. Information will be posted on The Discovery Center's web site.
Membership on the corporate council is open to interested corporations/businesses representatives with an interest in diversity and building a support network to prepare the work force for the changes in demographics.
