• In 2006, The Discovery Center recieved The Junior League of Hartfords Diveristy Program of The Year.

• In 2006 the Discovery Center was honored as The Multicultural Program or Institution of the Year at the 10th Annual Connecticut Conference on Multicultural Education for establishing deeper understanding among people and for helping people to respect and appreciate differences.

The program and curriculum is evaluated by the Captial Region Education Council and the State of Connecticut Department of Education.

The Discovery Center is accredited by the American Camping Association as an associate member and is member of the Association of Camp Nurses.

The Discovery Center is a member of the Connecticut Nonprofit Association and the Association of Fund Raisig Professionals and follows the ethical guidelines for each organization.
